FISCHER Compressor AG will present two new compressor solutions for natural refrigerants at Chillventa 2026: a new compressor for propane (R290) and the Ultra Cool compressor technology for air (R729).
With these new developments, FISCHER is transferring its many years of experience in high-speed, oil-free turbocompressors to refrigeration and heat pump applications. The focus is on high efficiency, oil-free operation and the use of natural refrigerants.
R290 – Oil-free compressor technology for propane
With its new R290 compressor, FISCHER is expanding its portfolio with a solution for propane as a natural refrigerant. The technology is designed to meet the specific requirements of modern refrigeration and heat pump systems, combining the advantages of the natural refrigerant R290 with FISCHER’s high-speed compressor technology.
The compressors operate completely oil-free, offer continuously variable speed control and generate no structure-borne noise.
Ultra Cool – Air (R729) as a refrigerant
Based on the validated platform of its air compressors for fuel cell applications, FISCHER is also presenting a compressor solution for systems using air (R729) as a refrigerant. The technology addresses applications in which natural refrigerants, ultra-low temperatures and a completely oil-free process are key requirements.
With FISCHER compressors, temperatures as low as –160°C can be achieved.

The new compressors will be presented for the first time at Chillventa 2026 in Nuremberg.
